Help keep kids warm and healthy in Nepal this winter!

Nepal falls under 20th most disaster-prone zone in the world. More than 80 percent of the total population of Nepal is at risk from natural hazards, such as floods, landslides, windstorms, hailstorms, fires, earthquakes and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs). Every year, hundreds in Nepal die from exposure-related illnesses, due to a lack of warm clothing and insulation in their homes. Thousands more suffer tremendously in the cold.

The situation is particularly difficult in the post-covid situation. Many impoverished families, unable to find the funds to rebuild homes that were destroyed in the earthquake, are facing their 7th winter living in freezing-cold shelters. Particularly at risk are the very young and very old.

There is something we can all do to help alleviate this suffering.

As little as $12 buys a child an insulated winter-jacket to protect them against the cold. Our goal is to protect the children in the villages we have identified as most at-risk. This year, we want to provide warm winter coats to as many as 800 kids from 8 different schools, and we need more or less $10,000 USD.

Financial transparency is of utmost importance to us. 100% of your donation goes directly to purchasing children's clothing for distribution. KarmaFlights' overhead and administration costs are covered by a separate fund specifically for this purpose. This means you can be fully assured of the direct impact of each of your donor dollars.
